Privacy Notice

Divergefolio is a parent-managed homeschool record tool. Accounts are for adults. Children do not create accounts or submit information directly.

Information we collect

We store the adult account email and display name provided during Divergefolio signup, a securely derived password hash, and information the adult chooses to enter about learners, learning activities, books, supports, goals, related services, and photo evidence. We do not store the account password itself. You may use a nickname or initials instead of a learner's full name.

How we use it

We use information only to provide the record-keeping service, generate editable learning records, enforce plan limits, support the account, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. The current record generator runs within Divergefolio and does not send learner notes to an external AI model.

What we do not do

Service providers

We use hosting, authentication, database, and payment providers to operate Divergefolio. They receive only the information needed to perform those services. Payments are processed by PayPal; Divergefolio does not store card or bank details.

Retention and control

Adults can edit or delete individual learning records and their photos in the dashboard. Photos are served through a signed-in, account-ownership check rather than as public gallery links. Deleting a photo or record removes its stored photo evidence from active storage. To request account deletion, data export, or correction, contact divergefolio@gmail.com. We retain data while the account is active and as reasonably needed for security, billing, and legal obligations.

Security and scope

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system can promise absolute security. Divergefolio is intended for adult-managed homeschool documentation in the United States and is not a school information system, medical record, or emergency service.
